Household Funk

HouseHold Funk was initiated by a group of young, established DJs and avid party-goers who
saw a distinct lack of innovation and excitement in the party scene.

 

The DJs involved with HouseHold Funk bring with them vast experience. From memorable Thursday nights at Foo Moon Fusion (Melrose Arch), to Picassos in Rosebank, as well as Carfax, where they have held their most successful parties to date. The crew have also successfully thrown parties at lesser known venues, further outlining their ability to think outside the box.

 

Over the years, the HouseHold Funk crew have built up a true and sizeable following of loyal supporters and friends; capturing a vast & youthful market of vibrant, upbeat & contemporary individuals.

 

Each DJ has branched off on their own to establish themselves as household names, by exposure through Radio (5fm, Yfm), and TV (ChannelO, SABC 1 - shows like Castle Loud). These individuals have grouped together to form a dynamic team in the party scene, capable of merging the best of lifestyle & music.

 

Playing alongside international acts such as, Basement Jaxx, Paul Oakenfold, Fatboy Slim, Hoxton Whores, Sonny Fodera, Tovar, and many more, has increased our hunger for performing on the global stage.

 

" We feel it's about time that people get what they pay for when they go out to a party. With this in mind our aim is to put on a show that is "full sensory". By this we mean we would like to bring together quality music (which is most important), live acts, good people and a great brand to a safe, exciting and appealing venue.
