Edenvale Day, which took place on the 14th March 2009 at the Dowerglen High School, was primarily used as fundraiser for mentally and physically handicapped community members. A newly developed concept, Edenvale Day provided a platform for local entrepreneurs to promote their products and services, while giving business and residents the opportunity to give something back to the community.
Co-organised by Events Management Company Pristine Moods provided a fun filled family day of activities and professional live entertainment. The event helped raise awareness and funds to support 7-year-old Edenvale resident Jody Duke and Little Eden, an Edenvale-based non-profit organisation that cares for 300 mentally handicapped children and adults.
Pristine Moods, a Johannesburg based events co-ordinator organised the entertainment for Edenvale Day. The entertainment included performances by Top South African artists such as Dr Victor & the Rasta Rebels, Melanie Lowe, Garth Taylor, Emmanuel Castis, Thabo Mdluli, and local bands Hullabaloo, Obita and Chix with Stix.
Pristine Moods played an integral part in the resounding success of Edenvale Day by supplying a professional stage with state-of-the-art sound engineering and stage lighting design.
A formal exhibition hall displayed exciting specials and promotions from 24 local businesses and the Flea Market was packed with the arts, crafts and wares of Edenvale entrepreneurs. Children were entertained by a jumping castle kept in the kids play area, while a wide selection of meals and snacks were available from the food court.
Thanks to the support and dedication of the organisers, local business, residents, entertainers and the Ekurhuleni municipality, Edenvale Day was a great event for the whole family. Pristine Moods are proud to be part of successful community events like Edenvale Day especially with all profits going to such worthy charities.
